The Alpha AR 55 Alpine/Climbing Backpack from Arcteryx is a robust 55-litre pack for rock climbing across multiple terrains. Constructed using Arc'teryx's in-house developed fabric consisting of high tenacity nylon for hardwearing durability, there’s no way this pack will let you down.

The Alpha AR 55 is fully-equipped with streamlined, lightweight and minimalist climbing and alpine focused systems specifically tailored for harsher environments. Prioritising abrasion and tear resistance, a liquid crystal polymer ripstop grid is incorporated in a high tenacity nylon fabric. An ergonomic back panel provides support and structure whilst remaining comfortable against the back, and the shoulder straps are thermoformed so you will barely feel the weight you're carrying.

There are plenty of added features that facilitate the carry of tools and equipment. Ladder lock hook strap can be configured to securely hold ropes, whilst two ice axe loops and six front lash pockets are also included. In addition, there is a dedicated pocket just for trekking poles. Meanwhile, a large vertical external front pocket and quick-access side pockets provide easy access to those quick-grab essentials.

Access to the pack is quick and easy when you're on the go. The main compartment is accessed via a pull-to-open / pull-to-close drawcord. The pack offers direct side access and front access to your gear and the coulisse-style upper closure has a magnetic buckle that can be opened and closed with just one hand.

The pack also includes a really useful hydration system that will keep you watered on the go.
