About the Armada ARV 96
The award winning ARV series returns for the skier that wants to make the whole mountain their playground. Armada has a long history in making super fun all-mountain freestyle skis that bring the fun to any conditions and the ARV 96 is no different.
With a 96mm waist the ARV is as versatile as they come; take it through the park, rail it on groomers or take it off-piste, the ARV 96 will take it all in its stride. The ARV will surprise you with its stability, underfoot there is sidewall and camber, providing pop and power, which is further enhanced by carbon Kevlar struts that also improve the torsional stability of the ski. Cap constriction in the tip and tail makes for easy initiation of turns and butters as well as being forgiving and playful. Their pop-lite core provides supreme playfulness due to its lightweight and poppy nature and it leaves you grinning from ear to ear.
Armada’s spin tip consists of partially hollowed tips to further reduce swing weight, so you can turn those 1’s into 3’s with ease. The S7 sintered base is super durable and requires minimal maintenance whilst their 2.2mm heat treated impact edges can withstand anything you throw them into.
Park skiing is Armada's bread and butter, so it's no surprise that these skis kill it in that arena, whether you use them on the mountain or in the dome the ARV gives a balanced and smooth base to improve your park riding. All over the mountain, they are a joy to ski, with surprisingly good edge hold and with a great ability to shut speed off they challenge you to push them to the limits.
These skis are ideal for intermediate through to expert skiers, either to use as a playful all terrain ski or a park ski with substantial all mountain freestyle credentials these have supreme versatility.
Please Note: This ski is an ex demonstration model and has been used. There are a few scratches along the top sheet and base but has been re waxed and is ready to use. This ski comes with demo bindings that can be adjusted to any boot size. This can be seen in the product images.
- AR75 Sidewall - A cap construction in the tip and tail and sidewall underfoot. This combines strong edge hold and grip with durability and a low swing weight
- Poplar Ash core - Stability, power and ease are paramount in this 100% Poplar wood core. For those looking for predictability and smoothness the Poplar core delivers in all snow conditions
- AR Freestyle Rocker - Camber underfoot creates a solid and stable carve while rocker in the tip and tail keeps things playful whether riding forwards or switch
- S7 Base - This base is durable and easy to maintain
- CK Stringer - Carbon and Kevlar stringers are used in the tail to add pop, power, and strength
- 2.2 Impact Edge - Armada's mid-width ski edges, these are heat treated and built to be durable while avoiding excess weight.
- Directional Twin - These skis have a twin tip design for easy switch riding, the tips are slightly wider than the tails, this increases the skis performance on piste and allows you to make more powerful turns
