About the Bataleon Goliath x BYND MDLS
The Bataleon Goliath x BYND MDLS is a limited edition Goliath based on the popular web series BYND MDLS, a snowboard crew and streetwear label founded by pro Bataleon rider Tor Lundstrom and Kevin Backstrom. This board is an all mountain freestyle snowboard that performs just as well in the park as it does in powder. With it's supportive medium flex this board has a playful & responsive nature which is perfect for taking advantage of the entire mountain. It features a softened nose & tail for fine tuning the timing & control of ollies, nollies & tweaking presses in the park.
The Goliath x BYND MDLS uses Freestyle Triple Base Technology (3BT) with medium uplifting side bases creating a catch free ride for buttering and freakishly good powder float. With tip to tail regular camber the Goliath holds a solid edge on all snow conditions, making it easy to drive the board through turns & transitions generating tons of pop.
This board is a slightly different construction to the normal Goliath, it features an Ultra Light core which is a 70-30 blend of Swiss Paulownia and poplar wood core. The carbon inserts are Dual Super Tubes which consist of two hollow carbon rods in the bottom of the core, enhancing pop and putting more snap into the camber. Tri-axial laminates are laid above & below the wood core fine-tuning the responsive all mountain characteristics of the board.
With Side Kick Tips, this tech from Bataleon will enhance the performance of the 3BT base increasing side base uplift on the widest parts of the nose and tail. This creates incredibly smooth turn initiations, enhances overall board stability in rough terrain and in powder. Super light Carbon Kevlar stringers improve the boards overall strength & performs at speed with heightened power transfer for more clean ollies and overall board control.
