About the Bern Brentwood Zip Mold
The Bern Brentwood helmet is a well-ventilated, low-profile helmet that protects your head for just about any sport - summer or winter - on snow, dirt, pavement, or water. Bern claim this is one of the lightest weight, lowest profile multi-sport helmet on the market and we'd have to agree. It is all down to the zipmold construction - a more expensive manufacturing technique but it allows a thinner and lighter shell which is stronger than a standard EPS helmet.
The outer shell is sprayed onto the EPS foam to form a smooth finish and a shell that has a lot less weight than the bolted or glued on versions in other helmets. This gives an amazingly lightweight helmet with a lot less bulk than a regular EPS helmet! No more mushroom head!
The Brentwood features easy adjustable straps and a secure buckle. The winter liner can be removed as it's secured into the helmet with tough poppers and Velcro. This means you can easily wash the liner to avoid that head stink, and you can easily upgrade to a summer liner to wear you lid all year round or an audio liner to listen to your tunes while riding!
