About the Black Crows Anima
After their massively successful debut in the 19/20 season, Black Crows' Anima is back for 2021 with an upgraded construction. This ski is built for off piste riding, so that's where it shines. If you're the type of skier that loves powder, steeps, and technical terrain, then you are sure to love the Anima!
The 2021 Black Crows Anima Skis blend power and agility to make sure you have a damn good time in the deep stuff. With 115mm under your boots and the Double Rocker profile with progressive tip rise, you're guaranteed those floaty feels, even after the deepest of dumps. When you hit top speed they feel as stable as could be, with a bit of extra stiffness at the contact points and camber underfoot providing plently of grip.
These skis are wide, the waist footprint is a substantial 115 mm, this width is one of the main reason why the Anima skis perform so smoothly in deep snow and stably on variable terrain. The tips and tails of the skis are rockered, this rocker improves soft snow performance, the Anima skis uses Black Crow's double beak profile which facilitates easy pivoting and gives a playful feel, the double beak rocker helps when trying to negotiate through tight situations, such as rocks, trees, or bumps. The raised tail also lets you land switch after spinning off booters into powder.
Whilst the Anima skis are by no means a piste ski, they are stable enough for navigating the pistes, 60% of the ski is traditional camber, and the progressive rocker means most of the edge comes in contact with the snow when the skis are set intro a carve. The Anima has a hard snow stability which is rare for such a wide ski.
Due to the large size, and backcountry freestyle orientated design, we would recommend these skis for advanced or expert skiers looking to charge away from the trails.
