The Distance 15 Backpack from Black Diamond elegantly features a hybrid design that includes a vest-inspired suspension to keep the weight of the pack off your shoulders, ideal for running, and a unique feature set that will grant you the ability to carry all the appropriate gear whilst transcending any peak.

Utilising Black Diamond's Stitch-less Edge Taping Technology, the shoulder strap edge binding is fully edge taped instead of sewn which allows for superior weight reduction, whilst promoting an increase in movement and comfort. This technology combined with an adjustable, elastic-cording compression system will give you a more secure ride while climbing, scrambling and running.

Paying homage to Black Diamond's signature Blitz-style top opening, the Distance 15 allows quick and easy access to your gear, getting the adventure started with no fuss necessary, and includes a stash pocket to tuck away essentials. Inside, a mesh divider can be found which will store a cordelette or water bladder, which can integrate with the pack's hose routing system.

Made from BD's ultralight UHMWP 10x Ripstop Yarns, the Distance is tough and durable without any unnecessary weight, so much so that it is 10-times stronger than steel per weight but is light enough to float on water!

The exterior side of the bag includes dual piolet/ice axe holsters and dual Z-pole quiver sleeves to stash your trekking poles on demand as soon as the terrain changes!
