About the Black Diamond Firstlight 2

With its single-wall design and low pack weight, the Black Diamond Firstlight 2 tent gives you a minimalist, four-season shelter built for fast-moving alpine treks and climbing trips.

The FirstLight 2 features a freestanding dome design with two high-quality DAC Featherlite poles for an optimum strength-to-weight ratio. Set-up is quick and easy with poles attaching internally using hook-and-loop wraps. High-strength guy-lines aid stability giving you multiple anchor points when camping in exposed terrain. All seams are double sewn with reinforced stress points for added durability.

The single-wall construction uses a NanoShield fabric with a high-performance Silicone NanoCell water-resistant coating. Please note, seams will need to be manually sealed before use. One tube of Sil-Net seam sealer included. Additional tubes sold separately.

The FirstLight 2 is based on the I-Tent’s expedition-specific design with steep walls and a simple floor shape for optimized living space and increased headroom. A small rear window and door panel feature no-see-um-mesh providing cross ventilation and moisture management. Two mesh pockets help keep smaller items close to hand. An additional Vestibule can be attached to the front to create extra storage and living space for longer trips.
