About the Black Diamond Mission 2

The Black Diamond Mission 2P Tent is a fast-pitching, double-wall tent crafted for mountaineering and 4-season expedition-style activities.

The Mission 2 features a hoop and hub exterior DAC Featherlite pole architecture combined with a pre-attached fly that allows the tent to be pitched quickly in time-sensitive conditions. The bomber construction uses a hybrid dome/tunnel design engineered to withstand high wind loads from all directions. Multiple high-strength guylines provide additional stability for exposed conditions while the scalloped perimeter and large vents provide ample airflow.

Inside, there's room for two people with a door and vestibule at either end for hassle-free access and kit storage. Eight internal pockets keep smaller items organised and close to hand. The inner tent/sleeping compartment can be removed to create a larger basecamp shelter or storage tent.

A 30D high tenacity polyester rainfly and floor keep the pack weight low and is seam-sealed, durable, and does not sag in wet conditions. The rainfly uses a mixed polyurethane and silicone coating for a waterproof rating of 1500mm while maintaining a high tear strength. The colour pigment is applied as part of the outer coating in a more environmentally friendly process than traditional fabric dying.
