About the Burton Instigator
The Burton Instigator zero/hybrid camber snowboard allows you to shortcut the learning curve and progress your snowboarding skills in an easy and confidence-boosting way.
The Instigator comes with Burton's excellent Flat Top camber profile, which is perfect for progression. The board is flat in the middle for stability, balance and continuous edge hold, before kicking up into rocker at the tip and tail with an early rise for that catch-free, playful feel.
The Super Fly II 800G Core, Dualzone EGD and Squeezebox are strong, durable, and lightweight. It has a great edge hold, keeping you stable as you manipulate your turns with incredible responsiveness and ease and is also great in all conditions making uneven terrain that much easier to ride. The Cruise Control detuned edges make for an easy, catch-free and confidence-building experience.
The soft flex and Flat Top profile on the Instigator make for a really fun and forgiving ride whilst the Biax Fiberglass and Super Fly II 800G Core give you the precision and stability you need. DualZone EDG helps with your strong and consistent edge hold too. This confidence-building combination definitely helps encourage you to try to improve your technique and master new skills.

- Super Fly II 800G Core - Stronger and lighter woods target specific areas of the core to provide pop, strength and reduced weight.
- Dualzone EGD - The wood grain is positioned along the toe and heel edges on two continuous zones, perpendicular to the rest of the wood core, for consistent edge-hold and added strength.
- Squeezebox Low Core Profiling - Its most versatile profile improves pop and performance through the balance of thicker, more powerful core sections with thinner, more flexible sections. Rider energy is transferred outward from beneath the feet, energizing the tip and tail while making the board snappier, more stable, and easier to manipulate.
- Cruise Control Tune - Detuned edges for a catch-free, confidence building ride.
- Extruded Base - Durable and ready to take any abuse you can throw at it, this extruded base is nice and fast and easy to maintain.
- Biax Fiberglass - Bi-axis fiberglass layup to offer a responsive and precise ride.
- The Channel - Rather than using a 4x4 system, Burton have introduced the Channel. A system which allows you to fully adjust your stance width and angles. Your bindings will have to be compatible with the Channel and conversion discs can be bought separately. Burton offers a 3-year warranty on all boards with the Channel.
