About the Burton Name Dropper
The Burton Name Dropper snowboard is designed to help unleash your inner park rider and make sure that people will be dropping your name before you know it. Park tweaked performance with an off-axis design means the Name Dropper will provide smoother takeoffs, stomped landings and charging stability.
The Name Dropper comes with Burton's bombproof Super Fly 800G core which is designed to provide tons of pop and precision whilst retaining a smooth and buttery feel that's also super durable. This means you can go bigger and harder in the park than ever before knowing that the Name Dropper can handle whatever you throw at it.
Added to the core is Dual Zone EGD which uses wood aligned along the toe and heel edge, perpendicular to the core for consistent edge hold and a nice predictable ride. Add Squeezebox Low into the mix too and you get a board that you can really load up with energy for huge pop and snap.
One of the biggest features of the Name Dropper is the Off-Axis design. This tweaks the Squeezebox, Filet-O-Flex and Frostbite Edges to more closely match the angles of a typical park rider. This means you get better heel and toe response, more natural flex around the bindings and a smoother feel, especially during take-offs and landings. This really does change the feel of the Name Dropper, making it an ideal park for riders who like a smooth, buttery board that still gives you tons of pop and confidence.
The Name Dropper now comes with Burton's Pure Pop profile, which is camber in the middle and features subtle flat zones just outside your feet to amplify pop and add playfulness to the snap and response of camber. Early rise tip and tail sections spin and float with a catch-free feel.
If you are a freestyle rider that wants a smooth, mellow ride and isn't looking to break world record speeds then this board is perfect for you. Its versatility is great for beginners all the way up to advanced riders that want to push their park riding.
