About the Burton Tourist
The 2021 Burton Tourist snowboard boots are a stiff freeride boot featuring some of the best technology Burton has to offer. This boot is for the riders who like to explore the mountain and aren't afraid to hike for their lines! No need to worry about comfort and support, Burton have you covered on that one.
Built with a Vibram MT outsole that features rubber Ice Spikes, the Tourist is one of the grippiest snowboard boots on the market - perfect for hiking icy ridge-lines during the day as well as negotiating icy steps coming out of the bar at night. The Tourist includes Burton's Shrinkage technology which is a reduced footprint of one full size, so a size 11 will have the same footprint as other brands size 10 boots. This opens you up to more board options and helps reduce heel and toe drag when carving.
The Tourist uses Burton's awesome Speed Zone Lacing which is a quick lace system with upper and lower fastening zones for a quick yet custom fit. This system has been improved with a re-profiling of the lace guides and jam cleats and the addition of New England Rope laces which are virtually indestructible and are unique to Burton. They are so confident about these laces that they come with a lifetime warranty!
The Life Liner uses Ultralon performance foam in the body to give a secure yet comfortable fit with no heel lift. It also includes a Level 2 EVA foam footbed with cushioning and support for even more plush comfort. Add to this the fact that it's heat-moldable again and again and you get a boot that runs from season start to season end without breaking down. Featuring Burton's amazing DryRide Heat Cycle Lining and sleeping bag reflective foil to reflect heat back towards your foot, your feet will never get cold in the Tourist, no matter how far the hike is.
