About the Faction Dancer 2
The Faction Dancer 2 is a directional freeride ski aimed at riders looking to split their time evenly between groomers and off piste. Two razor-thin sheets of metal complement the sustainably-sourced wood core for the ideal blend of energy, light weight and stable, no-chatter, full-confidence handling.
Its 96 mm waist is versatile to handle all conditions and all terrain. You'll even float and dance above the choppy stuff thanks to the perfect touch of rocker. Backed by the finest, most durable Austrian construction, powered 100% by renewable energy..
Full sidewall construction combined with XL 2.5mm edges provides durability, huge edge grip and a responsive ride quality in a lightweight package. This makes it suited to experienced and aggressive skiers looking for a powerful ski that can handle high speeds on a variety of snow conditions. That's all built around a poplar core, which works with the double metal laminate to keep the ski damp and stable but surprisingly lightweight and easy to throw around in tight spaces.
Underfoot 4mm of traditional camber runs the majority of the ski, providing a lively rebound and adding further to the skis grip and stability. The tip of the ski has a heavily rockered profile that adds float and pivot in soft snow, eases turn initiation and gives the ski enough manoeuvrability to tackle moguls, trees and any other tight spaces you come across. Gentle rocker in the tail adds further manoeuvrability and pivot but still maintains the powerful, grippy turn exit's that you'd expect from a traditional flat-tail design.
The Dancer 2.0 from Faction is an ideal option for skiers who will frequently be switching from fresh groomers to chopped and refrozen snow and all the way to powder days. Additionally, because of it's impressive combination of low weight and stability it could be a great choice for those focusing on downhill performance.
