About the Gentemstick Stingray
The 2020 Gentemstick Stingray snowboard is essentially a 'big mountain' version of the classic Mantaray. With a Half Moon tail and raised, squared nose, the Stingray is ready to own the steep and deep. Less taper and a bigger sidecut radius than the Mantaray have been applied to match steeper slopes and draw bigger lines.
Gentemstick boards originated in the powder-heavy lands of Niseko, Japan are the brain-child of legendary snowboarder and surfer Taro Tamai. The board shapes often take heavy inspiration from the retro snowboards of the 1980's along with modern surfboards, offering riders a floaty, surfy ride that feels like nothing you have experienced before. These uniquely designed snowboards boast true ingenuity and legendary craftsmanship.
The Stingray features Gentemstick's genius Short camber. This sees the camber start and end closer to the contact points of the board. This is then combined with an early rise nose rocker for ultimate float in the deep stuff.
