About the Jones Mind Expander Twin
The 2022 Mind Expander Twin Snowboard from Jones was created by legendary surf shaper Chris Christenson along with snowboard legend Jeremy Jones. The Mind Expander Twin has an easy going, playful feel for top freeride performance. Perfect for the modern day rider who likes to bounce off every terrain feature on their way down the mountain.
The Mind Expander Twin features Traction Tech 3.5 with Flax/Basalt Stringers for damp ride and confident edge control. This handy piece of technology improves edge to edge hold - a must have for boards featuring a rocker profile to help improve glide in mixed conditions, allowing you to hold an edge even on the iciest of faces.
Constructed with a triple density Bamboo Surf wood core that features primarily paulownia stringers and bamboo stringers positioned in the pocket of the sidecut, the Mind Expander is ultra lightweight and durable with great damping capabilities, better edge response and turning power. Topped of with an environmentally friendly eco-plastic top sheet made from Castor beans for a scratch and water resistant surface so snow can glide off easily.
The Surf Rocker camber profile is a custom tip/tail shape designed by Chris Christenson. The rockered tip raises the nose for improved manoeuvrability, while the camber underfoot provides edge hold and response. The slightly rockered tail gives you the stability and power of a traditional snowboard and keeps the tail catch-free for landing switch and initiating turns. This profile uses the exact same dimensions as Chris Christensons surf board, no wonder it surfs through powder with ease!
Last but certainly not least, this awesome premium Jones snowboard features a Sintered 8000 base for ultimate freeride performance. This base is highly durable, easily repairable and highly wax absorbent. Your ride is further enhanced with Wend Natural Wax, making this board one of the fastest on the market!
