Xavier Nidecker (Jones snowboard engineer) designed the Project X to be a snowboard that reflects the future of snowboard production. Built with ULTRA construction, the Project X features Fusion Carbon for even more weight reduction while enhancing overall durability, this board is ULTRA light and impressively powerful. Crafted by fusing multiple layers of aerospace grade carbon fibres and premium wood, using as little epoxy as possible, this creates the most damp, durable and responsive snowboard Jones has ever made!
For 2021 the Project X features an advanced fibreglass layout that improves strength without adding extra weight. The Fibreglass reinforcement improves pop in nose and tail and increases the longevity of the flex profile helping the board to perform exactly the same throughout its entire lifespan.
Featuring Jones' Spoon 3D Base Contour 3.0 shape. This tech has been designed to smooth out your edge-to-edge transfers, making your turn initially feel more like that of a smooth surfboard instead of a jolty snowboard. This tech really enhances freeriding, improving your board in three main areas: Glide, Flow and Float helping you ride even faster in deep pow!
The Project X is super stiff and generates a huge amount of power both into and out of turns, which in turn delivers one of the most thrilling rides in snowboarding today. In order to help control this intense power, speed and drive, Jones have added Traction tech 3.0. This handy piece of technology helps you hold an edge on the iciest of faces. When combined with the new spoon shape, the Project X becomes an incredible board for carving and sweeping turns down the piste.
Constructed with a new FSC Fusion Core predominantly using lightweight paulownia with pockets of poplar wood resulting in a super light and durable core with tons of response. Topped of with an environmentally friendly eco-plastic top sheet made from Castor beans for a scratch and water resistant surface so snow can glide off easily.
The Project X has been equipped with a large camber underfoot, small rocker zones in the tail and nose. This means the Project X will be predictable in difficult terrain and have unbelievable performance when cruising on piste thanks to the large camber area, but will promote a ton of float in the nose to keep you from sinking in the deepest of powder.
To finish off this super premium snowboard, an exclusive Sintered Ultra base sets new standards in performance. This base has even more wax absorption, better glide in all types of conditions and is further enhanced with Wend Natural Wax making this one of the fastest on the market!
