Katadyn's BeFree filter range is all about freedom and mobility, and with that in mind, they have created one of the most compact and lightweight water filtration systems on the market. Their EZ-Clean Membrane features a pore size of just 0.1 microns (0.0001 mm), meaning that it is suitable for cloudy water and effective against waterborne bacteria, protozoa, cysts and sediment.

The BeFree works fast to remove any harmful microorganisms (such as Giardia and Cryptosporidium), using Free Flow Channels in the filter that deliver a flow rate of up to 2 litres per second. The EZ-Clean Membrane is easy to maintain. Simply fill the flask, attach the cover and give it a good shake to remove debris. Alternatively, simply rinse in running water.

The BeFree filter comes with a Hydrapak® SoftFlask reservoir. This polyurethane water carrier is tough yet incredibly flexible and can be rolled, scrunched or folded up to be easily tucked away in a pocket or a pack. It's also incredibly lightweight, with filter and bottle weighing in at just 100 grams!
