About the LINE Sir Francis Bacon
The LINE Sir Francis Bacon has been redesigned for the winter 2021 but retains its lightweight and playful construction that's made it so popular for so long, a new feature for this year is the convex base tech on the tip and tail which allows you to drift and butter through pow without sacrificing edge grip on hard pack.
Known for its versatility, the Sir Francis Bacon has now been bumped up to 107mm underfoot, meaning that it will have no problem floating and drifting in powder and soft snow conditions, as well as gliding over crud slush and variable conditions. For when your cruising more hard-packed snow on piste, a relatively tight sidecut radius of 16m also keeps the Bacon incredibly nimble for short sharp turns between park features, trees, or even moguls.
The Partly Cloudy Core is a new core type developed by LINE that combines lightweight paulownia wood with composite materials which maximise strength in the core while minimising weight, in fact the partly cloudy core offers the best strength to weight ratio of any core type in the LINE range. The medium-stiff flex of the bacon provides great stability whether you're charging steep backcountry lines or taking big landings in the park, which is easy thanks to the low swing weight created by LINE's early taper tip & tail shapes.
Reworked but still, a classic, Sir Francis Bacon from line skis is a winning combination of a wide-platform park ski, backcountry powder surfer, and all-mountain charger.
