The Macpac Sentinel is an incredibly unique and technical alpine pack. The Sentinel has been specifically engineered for performance, durability and adaptability in challenging mountainous terrain.
Designed and tested in New Zealand, the Sentinel is an impeccable alpine pack with a 50L capacity with room to expand. Made from Macpac’s Eco AzTec 8 oz. canvas fabric for extra durability and unmatched weather resistance, this pack features an adaptive design that can even reduce weight when required.
Featuring a removable metal frame, a hip belt and detachable top lid. This means you can strip this pack down for lighter climbing. Offering a performance-driven design, the Sentinel features an ActiveX alpine harness with a moulded and laminated closed cell foam back panel. This reduces unwanted moisture absorption and freezing potential. The internal foam back panel can also be removed and used as a bivvy mat!
Macpac’s Sentinel is brilliantly well equipped to carry your gear. Offering dual ice axe attachments, daisy chains and V webbing loops to keep tools secure while on the move, while side compression straps and pockets accommodate extra items. In terms of capacity breakdown, this pack has a 48 litre base capacity with the expanding storm throat providing up to an extra 8 litres of overload capacity.
