About the Montane Ground Control

The Ground Control is a packable synthetic insulated jacket from Montane that is engineered to prioritise warmth.

Montane has designed the Ground Control jacket using cutting-edge synthetic PrimaLoft® Silver ThermoPlume® and Cross Core™ technology which mimic the air-trapping qualities and insulation levels of natural down.
PrimaLoft® Silver insulation in the hood, hips and over the shoulders will help you through cold and damp winter belays, all at an incredible warmth to weight ratio.

This versatile jacket also has articulated arms to prevent hem lift, and an adjustable hem with cinchable drawcord to prevent any warmth loss. The hood is also helmet-compatible, fully adjustable and rolls away easily, making it an ideal accompaniment on the slopes. Meanwhile, a PEAQ Down lining supplies exceptional next-to-skin comfort, as well as being highly breathable and fast drying.

For added toughness, the Ground Control uses a Barrier Lits RS nylon lining, and the jacket has a durable DWR coating to provide further weather protection. There is plenty of storage too, with two insulated hand pockets with YKK zips and an external chest pocket also with a YKK zip.
