The Montane Men's Kamen Hooded Down Jacket is a lightweight high-performance alpine insulation layer engineered for technical mountain use. Designed for mountaineering climbing ski touring and expedition objectives it balances exceptional warmth with a streamlined low-bulk construction.
The jacket is filled with premium 800+ fill power ExpeDRY™ goose down offering outstanding loft and efficient moisture management even in humid or variable winter conditions. ExpeDRY technology permanently bonds gold particles to the down clusters helping moisture evaporate more quickly to maintain reliable insulation performance over long days in the mountains.
Its outer shell uses Pertex® Quantum Diamond Fuse a 20D recycled nylon ripstop designed for enhanced abrasion and snag resistance. The tightly engineered yarn structure improves durability helps shed snow and moisture and maintains downproof protection. A PFC/PFAS-free DWR provides added weather resistance.
NAT baffle construction improves thermal efficiency by directing loft toward the body and reducing cold spots. Additional PrimaLoft® Gold panels reinforce high-compression zones such as the collar and shoulders for improved moisture handling and long-term durability. The helmet-compatible PIVOT 2 hood and REACH+ patterning enable excellent articulation arm lift and protection during technical movement.
With gear-compatible pocket placement an insulated internal placket and an included Cube stuff sack for efficient packability the Kamen Hooded Down Jacket delivers dependable warmth and alpine-ready functionality for cold-weather missions.
