About the Mountain Hardwear AMG105
Made for week-long adventures and travellers who like to bring their home away from home, never sacrifice equipment for comfort again with the Mountain Hardwear AMG™ 105. This extra large-sized technical backpack is ideal for long alpine trips in all conditions on rock and snow.
Mountain Hardwear believe that comfort should not be something you should expect to leave back at basecamp when embarking on long treks. Therefore, they have designed the AMG series with this in mind without neglecting invaluable tool and equipment storage in addition to the pack's durability.
The pack's lightweight yet sturdy 7000 series aluminium frame works to support heavy loads, whilst an integrated multi-density, padded hip belt and shoulder straps enable comfortable carry of even the heaviest loads. Multiple lash points and full-wrap compression webbing provide further help in securing overloads by reducing the volume to keep any size load stable. A hard-wearing 840D carbonate coated nylon base with a stand-up design makes loading the bag simple and easy.
A great feature of the AMG™ series is its adjustable tool carrying system that can be used for all types of alpine adventure, whether that's on foot, ski, or on the crag. The pack is fitted with a large zippered front pocket that is ideal for storing avalanche tools in and for using as an overflow when the main compartment is full. A full floating lid with two secure zip pockets plus an internal secure zip pocket with a key clip is perfect for safely housing those small trail essentials without them getting lost. Expandable deep side pockets easily secure alpine essentials like tent poles, pickets, wands, water bottles and even a small shovel. An easy access, oversized front stash pocket provides comfortable storage for crampons and other items you may need at any moment.
What's more, the AMG™ 105 is hydration reservoir compatible and is fitted with an A-frame for diagonal ski carry. A reinforced webbing haul loop on the hip belt can be used to pull sleds whilst the centre load compression strap doubles up as a rope carrying option.
The pack is complete with a sternum strap with a whistle buckle and reflective accents on the shoulder straps and front panel for added safety. A front panel daisy chain with a centre grab handle enables quick get up and go, rounding off the AMG™ 105's comprehensive list of features that make it an excellent backpack for multi-day alpine treks.
