With its versatile and ultralight design, the Mountain Shelter LT is at the vanguard of Mountainsmith's lightweight backcountry shelters. Drawing inspiration from a 30-year-old Mountainsmith design, the Mountain Shelter is simple to use with a technical construction for solid weather protection.

The shelter is fast to pitch and sets up using 2 standard trekking poles allowing for a reduced size and pack weight of just 2lbs. For those hiking without poles, the top two guylines allow for overhead tree set-up or attachment to other anchor points.

Inside, there's room enough for 2 persons and kit with single door access and a rear vent for airflow.

A durable 40D nylon rip-stop fabric keeps the pack-weight low with a sil-nylon exterior coating and PU underside delivering a high level of rain protection. Reflective guy-lines feature tension-lock cord adjustment giving you that essential tautness when pitching in exposed terrain.

The Mountain Shelter LT is a hugely versatile solo or two-person tarp-tent built to meet the demands of fast-moving outdoor adventures where a low pack weight is key.
