About the Nidecker Helios Focus Boa
The 2020 Nidecker Helios snowboard boots offer a stiffer, more responsive feel, that’s still soft on
the inside, with a clean, smooth, technical design on the outside. Extra durable with protective rubber coatings on high-abrasion areas, the Helios comes ready for battle.
The BOA focus system is the quickest, smoothest and easiest way to tighten up your boots providing even closure with no pressure points. This BOA Focus system uses 2 BOA Coilers over the tongue and side of the boot. The side BOA Coiler provides closure on your ankle to lock down the heel stopping the dreaded heel lift that can occur while riding. This allows a customised fit which can be micro tuned to the riders preferences for ultimate comfort and support.
The Silver-level liner is packed with amazing tech that provides superior comfort and performance while being extremely warm and light. Built with a combination of standard and thermo foam, the liner will mould to the shape of your foot for a customised fit. This liner uses Ripper Lacing, a Z-lace configuration for a perfect fit and improved heel hold that's built into the liner instead of using a harness. The Helios uses the B.F.T (Bare Foot Technology) Vibram Contact Outsole. This piece of tech has incredible grip in all conditions using a wet/dry compound. An EVA midsole and an N-Gel pad is placed in the heel to provide the best comfort and support, conforming to your movements, dampening heavy impacts and chatter in rough conditions. This will give you the best connection to your board enabling you to ride harder for longer comfortably.
To improve all day comfort, Nidecker have redesigned the boot to feature industry leading asymmetric boa lacing, guiding the laces over the flatter areas of your foot for significantly reduced pressure and improved closure. This improves arch support and reduces fatigue for maximum performance on the mountain.

- Asymmetric BOA Focus System - This unique hybrid features a BOA Coiler over the tongue and a BOA side-reel for external focused closure on your ankle area. Simply locking your heel down means more control with less effort.
- B.F.T Vibram Contact - This outsole is created in cooperation with respected sole maker, Vibram. This is a 4 part outsole to support your feet, and dampens impacts. Vibram outsoles are constructed using a wet/dry compound to provide outstanding grip.
- N-Gel Damepening - Designed to absorb and disperse pressure upon impact from hard landings on the heel.
- Asymetrical 3D moulded tongue - Unnecessary material has been striped out, this creates a streamline design that is less bulky promoting a natural flex without boot distortion.
- Space Blanket - A thermal insulating layer between the outsole and the liner, keeps the heat in and the cold out.
- Silver-Level Thermo Heat Moldable Liner - Premier comfort and performance, featuring high-density thermo foam, Nidecker's ReverseCut asymmetrical comfort-cuff and internal multi-layer latex J-bar construction that molds to your foot for the best fit and comfort possible.
- Ripper Lacing - Z-Lace configuration eliminates lace crossover and gives you a perfect fit using the easy locking Ripper Laces. This is incoorperated into the liner for great comfort and heel hold.
- EVA Reinforced Panels - Offers more support and comfort.
- Vented Tongue - Ventilation prevents moisture collecting in the boot.
- Velcro Positioning Tab - Prevents the tongue from drifting as you ride.
- Custom Flex Zone - Improves fit across the ball of the foot to ward off arch strain or any other discomfort.
- Velcro Top Strap - Extra fastening with comfort top cuff to prevent any discomfort around the shin.
- Internal and External J Bars - Extra support in the liner around the ankle.
- Silvadur Moisture Wicking & Anti-Microbial Finish - Keeps the boots dry and smelling fresh for longer.
- 3D Moulded Dual Density Insole - Dual density EVA foam moulded into the anatomical shape with a deep heel cup and arch support. The forefoot gets more cushion for flexibility while the arch and heel remain more supportive. A silicone screen print provides added traction.
