About the Nitro Nomad Splitboard
Nitro's Nomad splitboard is equipped with the standard Voile puck system for unfaltering reliability and performance whilst making it easy to find yourself new lines in areas further than the lift can take you!
The Nomad's flat out rocker gives the board a loose feel in deep snow but still lets the rider pick up speed easily. But on harder snow the board changes - it performs more firm with stronger edging, meaning this board can handle lightly covered areas more confidently.
Nitro have introduced Ice-Free-Hooks on the Nomad. These are stainless steel hooks that are mounted on the top to leave the base side completely free from extra metal parts where ice can build up. This also means the base lasts longer; with a smooth finish, there are no drilled holes or t-bolts getting in the way! The locks are placed on the tip and tail of the top sheet of the board.
The Premium Extruded FH Base is an ultra-clear base material which can handle the effects or rails and harder terrains. It has been designed for durability and speed but most of all, it has been created for low maintenance, so no need to spend time worrying about your base!
Nitro's Power Pods have two amazing effects - the extended board width under the bindings help create edge control. This helps add stability on harder, icy surfaces whilst removing heel and toe drag. They also make the board super reactive and fast turning when it's put on its edge whilst still offering full control. This is done by overlaying a tighter sidecut radius in the centre of the board and a larger one towards the nose and tail.
The Nomad opens up endless possibilities for the rider who just wants to go on an adventure and explore the areas the lift doesn't go!
