About the NOMAD® Topaz 50 Backpack

Durability, reliability and fully featured; the Topaz sets the standard of an all activity backpack, capable of pushing the boundaries of adventure. There to be an adventure companion the Topaz has been designed by backpackers for backpackers.

External elasticated pockets on the side of the Topaz facilitate the carry of up to 1-litre water bottles but can be used to store an array of trail essentials such as maps, tripods and tent poles. Lightweight buckled compression straps above the pockets allow for gear to be compressed down promoting a more stable load.

The face of the pack features a zippered essentials pocket, ideal for climbing guide books and for fast access snacks. Two webbing loops and bungie attachment straps enable the Topaz to carry both ice axes and walking poles for more technical trails. Buckled compression loops on the lower compartment facilitate the carry of sleeping mats and larger items. While an integrated rain cover protects your gear from rain and mud and is housed comfortably under the bag.

Constructed from a conglomerate of lightweight 300D polyester ripstop and 600D polyester, the Batura is exceptionally durable in order to cope with ever-changing terrain on the trail. Moreover, the fabrics have been coated in a DWR for water repellency in events of unexpected showers.

The Topaz features the renowned Performance Fit back system. Comprised of a padded mesh pack system with large U shaped airflow channel, the pack provides a comfortable fit. The adjustable upper shoulder straps allow for a customisable fit for the user, improving comfort while improving airflow.

A mixture of a traditional and modern pack, the Topaz has a top-loading design but with a main access front, U shaped zipper. This provides both design advantages, an extendable top lid allows for the carry of additional items, while front U shaped zipper improves categorisation and ease of access to kit. The U shaped zipper features a mesh compartment on the rear, ideal for those must-have small items that tend to get lost inside a filled pack.

The lower zippered compartment aids in the organisation of equipment, while a sleeve inside the main body allows the pack to be compatible with up to a 3L hydration reservoir (sold separately). The top lid features a zippered lid pocket for additional storage and has webbing loops on the exterior for lashing additional items.
