About the Salomon Malamute
The 2021 Salomon Malamute snowboard boot caters to the needs of freeriders and aggressive all mountain riders alike. The Malamute is Salomon's premium boot, packed with the best technology guaranteeing an extremely responsive boot with unrivaled comfort.
Salomon have included a Platinum 4D liner which is designed to fully secure the heel avoiding any unwanted lift, and to provide support and adjustment via removable ankle guard inserts and heat mould-able high density foam. This creates a perfect balance between support and response.
The Malamute uses Salomon's Ortholite C3 insole which keeps your foot in a cooler, drier environment with a memory foam layer that will remain cushioned over time. In addition Heel Grip technology is included for an added secure fit and Integrated Heel Straps secure the liner to the boot sole for more effective energy transfer. Salomon's manufacturing process also ensures that the liners are washable without the risk of damage.
Salomon's pioneering PowerLock lacing system is reliable, quick and powerful ensuring a secure hold no matter what the conditions, keeping you held firmly in place for your all mountain charging. A Trek Energy Cell+ outsole offers riders superb grip, traction and rebound while the Power Frame/Energizer Bar technology create a customizable flex and promotes a long boot life.
