About the Salomon Ranger² MIPS
The Salomon Ranger² MIPS has evolved for this year but retains the spirit of it's classic low-profile style whilst also offering a high level of protection.
This model of Salomon's best-selling men's helmet is now even better, as it comes with MIPS technology, which reduces the rotational forces exerted on the brain during a collision and offers superior protection and injury prevention. This is done by creating a sliding layer between the outer shell and your head. During impacts the rotational force is decreased reducing damage to the brain which is best to counter angled, rotational falls.
The Ranger² MIPS is built using Salomon's unique Half Shell construction which blends an in-mold shell with an EPS 4D base which disperses and absorbs shock on impact, allowing a reduced weight helmet and the slim, low profile look so associated with the Ranger, without compromising on it's safety or performance.
Using an Advanced Skin, the Ranger² helmet has incredible climate control and in combination with strategically placed adjustable ventilation, you are able to regulate your temperature to suit any climate. It also features Salomon's Custom Dial Round Fit meaning that you can always achieve the most comfortable and safe fit. With fully removable and washable liner and earpads, your helmet can remain as fresh as you'll feel in it.
