About the Salomon Super 8 Pro

Brand new in the Salomon range is the Super 8 Pro which Salomon has created by building upon the legacy of the Super 8 and packing it full of features that meets the needs of legendary riders including Bode Merrill. The design aims to provide a surfboard-like feel whilst also maintaining excellent edge control thanks to Salomon's high-tech design features.

The wide width of this board allows riders to downsize 3-4cm and really feel the benefits of this board's design. The Super 8 Pro is equipped with Salomon's fastest Area 51 base material, this combined with the addition of C/FX Basalt results in a board built for speed.

Along with the Backseat camber profile, this board places the power underneath your back foot for explosive power to maximize turning ability while the long nose with rocker helps with a float in deep powder. The Salomon Super 8 Pro also features Damplifier Lite technology which reduces the overall weight in the nose and tail whilst adding additional structure to promote float in deeper snow and reduces swing weight for freestyle rotations on and off the piste.

Built using the Aspen Strong Select core and Popster construction the snowboard retains a predictable flex and offers a natural snap and powerful pop all the while saving on weight. A Quadratic sidecut makes the board easy to initiate turns and makes changing direction effortless during the transition between edges while the Gunslinger Sidewalls reduce unwanted chatter and vibrations due to the carbon inlays that run the entire length of the board.

All of these features make the Super 8 Pro easy to ride anywhere on the mountain whether floating through powder or charging on freshly groomed corduroy.
