About the Salomon XDR 88 Ti
The XDR 88 Ti is part of Salomon’s XDR range back for the 2019 season. The XDR range has rapidly gained a reputation for providing powerful all mountain performance in a lightweight, user friendly and supremely versatile package.
The 88 XDR Ti is the widest ski in the range, aimed at people looking to spend as much time off piste as they will on, without compromising on performance. The 88 mm waist width is perfect for taking on everything the mountain can throw at you, with optimal levels of edge to edge transition combined with strong levels of float.
A single layer of titanal provides power and precision, with the full sidewall construction efficiently maximising power transmission. A full woodcore compliments the construction to add liveliness and consistency to the flex so you can boost from turn to turn knowing you have a dependable companion underfoot.
Unique to Salomon skis is a C/FX (carbon/flax construction) that works alongside a progressive rockered tip shape and Salomon’s Pulse Pad. The C/FX provides added power and stability from the carbon, which is complimented by the flax fibre, to increase the smoothness and dampness of the ski. The pulse pad takes this a step further by filtering out shock, which calms the ski and improves durability.
Despite all of these features, Salomon have created an extremely lightweight all mountain titanal ski (1650g @179), which gives an impressively agile ride, these skis are extremely easy to manoeuvre, and give a truly versatile all mountain experience.
The 2020 Salomon XDR 88Ti is ideal for advanced/expert skiers want an all mountain ski that can cope with all their frontside adventures, whether it be blasting down groomers at first lift or dropping into the sidecountry at a moment’s notice, the XDR 88 Ti will take it all in its stride.
