About the Scarpa Mistral GTX
An ‘easy to fit’ construction allows Scarpa’s Mistral to accommodate a range of foot shapes thus making it an ideal boot for first-time hikers.
The upper of the Mistral is made from a 1.8mm Suede, which is subtle for comfort yet exceptionally durable. The suede is lined with a Gore-Tex membrane to ensure your feet stay dry regardless of the conditions. Moreover, an additional piece of fabric encompasses the toe-box to offer added protection.
The Vibram Energy sole unit is mounted through direct injection molding, forming a super comfy midsole with a high level of underfoot cushioning. The Energy sole utilises a low rolling resistance tread to reduce weight whilst providing traction on a variety of terrains.
Lace hardware in the lower lace zone allows the boot to be fitted snugly and gives the inner and outer sole additional support. A wide-fitting bellows tongue is attached to the sides of the upper, reducing the possibility of water and sediment entering the boot.
The Mistral is suited for first-time hikers due to its exceptionally comfy midsole, and lower cut boot design that feels unrestrictive on the ankle. With Gore-Tex lining, your feet will remain dry whilst traversing across fields and parks, which is ideal for those looking at getting into hiking.
