The new Meteor Lite 2 backpacking tent from Sierra Designs gives you their best-selling Meteor with an upgraded construction to deliver a reduced pack weight for high-mileage trail hikes.
The 2 door, 2 vestibule design remains the same with a freestanding dome design that's fast to pitch with pre-bend pole architecture creating a vertical front wall and a ridge pole creating near-vertical side-walls for maximum internal living space.
The reduced weight of just 1.66kg comes with the addition of DAC Featherlight NSL hub pole architecture and lightweight nylon fabric in the fly and floor.
The Meteor Lite 2 tent is built to deliver on-trail comfort with room for 2 people and a door either side for hassle-free access for each occupant. Vestibules either side provide extra storage space and protect entrances from rain.
The flysheet can be rolled back for added ventilation in warmer weather and a stargazer's view. Vents offer airflow and moisture management in cooler climes. A 20D nylon fly and 30D nylon floor fabric give the Meteor Lite its weight-saving design and feature a waterproof treatment to 1800mm hydrostatic head. A 15D nylon No-See-Um mesh canopy keeps out bugs with ample ventilation to reduce condensation.
The innovative 'burrito' style storage pack makes it quick and easy to pack away while an additional footprint (sold separately) boosts ground protection.
