Tokyo Powder's Black Pure chalk is composed of magnesium carbonate of the highest quality plus a host of natural weakly acidic minerals extracted from Japanese Onsen.

Onsen is a hot spring commonly found around Japan because of its volcanically active geography. Each geothermal spring will have its own natural composition of minerals said to be good for the body and therefore bathing in these hot springs has been common practice for many years.

The natural weakly acidic minerals in the Black Tokyo Powder Chalk acts as a binding material when mixed with magnesium carbonate making the chalk keep your hands drier for longer. It works great indoors and is particularly sticky on granite.

Grinded into a super fine uniform finish, the Black powder (which is white by the way) spreads evenly across your hands and offers an unparalleled level of friction and moisture control.
