About the Union Explorer
The Union Explorer Splitboard binding is great for anyone looking to find their perfect line in the backcountry but it has been designed to look and feel like a traditional binding on the way down the mountain. Union have focused on natural board feel, less moving parts and, durable design built to handle the longest tours and steepest lines.
The Explorer binding uses Union's SP2 base, made from Duraflex ST; regular Duraflex but with increased glass for more response without the weight. Designed specifically for cold temperatures so that you get consistent performance.
The EXP2 Duraflex ST highback is the same material as regular Duraflex, but with increased glass for more response without the weight. It has been designed specifically for cold temperatures, meaning you get consistent performance, whatever the conditions. Union's Split Flad allows you to easily switch from hike mode to ride mode on the Union Explorer and a quicker change over time means more snowboarding for you.
The Explorer features the Exofram 4.0 ankle strap, which is lightweight and super durable, perfect for touring. The TS 2.0 Rhombus toe strap is super grippy and shapes to fit any boot, plus pin adjustment means you can ensure you have the perfect fit. Combine this with Union's lightweight and durable Magnesium buckles, these bindings won't let you down.
The EVA Non-Stick Gas Pedal footbed reduces ice and snow build-up to make sure you always have a secure fit.
Alongside your bindings, Union's split strap and quiver disk are included in the box.
Union design their Explorer range to ride like traditional binding, so you can tour up the mountain without compromising on performance on the way back down.
