The Mark L 3 pitches fly and canopy together with a freestanding ridge tunnel design delivering increased snow and wind load capacities and also allowing for larger apses and rain-protected ventilation. The external pole design uses Vaude's Mark wrap-around cord construction. The cord wraps the poles quickly and effectively to provide independent compensation of stress loads caused by wind, snow loads or rain. The rainfly can be pitched with the footprint (sold separately) for an ultralight shelter in non-buggy conditions.

The sleeping area has room enough for three people with an entrance at either end for hassle-free access and vestibules for added storage. Slightly curved edges at the foot of the flysheet optimise air circulation while rain protected vents can be adjusted through the entrance zips for airflow. Vaude's adaptable lighting atmosphere features a darkened outer tent material for greater sleeping comfort with a lighter outer material for the living area.

A lightweight 40D ripstop rainfly keeps the pack weight low with a triple silicone coating on the outside providing increased tear resistance, UV resistance and water beading effect. A PU coating on the inside of the fly ensures optimum comfort thanks to reduced condensation. High-quality DAC aluminium poles provide stability while a PVC-free construction gives this tent an added eco-friendly design.
