About the Volkl Deacon 84
The Volkl Deacon ski range takes over from the popular RTM. The Deacon 84 is geared towards intermediate to experienced skiers looking for a versatile ski suitable for changing on-piste conditions.
With a waist width of 84mm, the Deacon 84 sits within the piste-side of all the broad all-mountain category. The ski's design and construction are geared toward piste performance and versatility with excellent edge hold and response. Whether you're making tight turns down a chopped-up slope at half term or charging down open freshly groomed slopes first thing in the morning this ski is an excellent choice to consider.
If you do venture off the side of the piste then the XTD tip & tail rocker will back you up. A deeper rocker line than traditional tip/tail rocker skis of this width means that you get an increased float and easier turn initiation in soft snow.
A sidewall construction underfoot with cap construction in the tip and tail means that underfoot you get high levels of grip and power transmission but in the tip and tail you get a more forgiving feel with improved turn initiation. This trusted mix of performance and ease of use makes it ideal for refining your skills on runs you're comfortable with and for venturing further afield onto steeper and more varied runs, as it won't punish your mistakes.
An integrated Titanal Frame delivers power, damping, and stability whilst the 3D.Ridge construction consists of a Central Woodcore Ridge with superslim wings to reduce and swing weight whilst maintaining stability. Titanium Power and 3D.Glass increases the power transfer and torsional stiffness for improved edge grip and liveliness compared to classic glass constructions.
This Volkl ski is an extremely well-made product that uses high-quality materials to maximise your enjoyment of skiing. It's not too demanding, yet it still retains high levels of performance and versatility so you can feel confident on both icy slopes and fresh snow.
