The Santa Ana 88 skis are female-specific all mountain skis that have an extremely successful tried and tested construction.
The 88m waist width is slightly narrower but still provides strong all-mountain credentials. Designed with fun in mind, the Santa Ana 88 is powerful, playful, and precise, feeling quick enough edge to edge for days on the piste whilst retaining stability and floating in softer snow.
The Energy Ti W construction in the 2023 model consists of a full balsa wood core with a redesigned carbon reinforced layer and terrain-specific metal laminate sized to each ski length, This allows each Santa Anna ski to be tailored for its intended use. The 2024 model features a Terrain Specific Metal. Nordica has added the same shaped metal plate inside the skis, it increases proportionately with the decrease of the last. Through this technology, they were able to design unique constructions better suited for different terrains. This sturdy construction inspires confidence to push the ski on a hardpack, so if you want an all-mountain ski but don’t want to compromise on piste performance, this is the one for you!
Nordica’s All Mountain Santa Ana Profile consists of their all-mountain camrock. With 30% rocker in the tip and 20% in the tail, you increased float and manoeuvrability in soft snow with the camber underfoot and the relatively flat tail giving a strong drive that will hold an edge throughout the turn. This rocker profile also aids itself well in improving its ease of use on firmer conditions, with improved pivot making it suitable for even strong intermediates looking to progress.
The premium construction Nordica Santa Ana 88 creates a ski that is extremely stable at high speeds, with no noticeable tip chatter giving you optimum edge hold and the stiff tail driving you out of the turns. Despite its supreme piste performance, it is still a lot of fun, with a playful and surfy nature in softer snow making it extremely versatile and a strong contender for those looking for one ski to do it all.
All Mountain Santa Ana Profile -Rocker in the nose of the ski aids with soft snow flotation. Camber underfoot creates on piste power and performance whilst a slight rise in the tail increases ease of turn initiation
Terrain Specific Metal -By adding the same shaped metal plate inside the skis, it increases proportionately with the decrease of the last. Through this technology, we were able to design unique constructions better suited for different terrain. The narrower Santa Ana has more power and stability on the trail, while the wider constructions are more enjoyable off-piste and on softer snow
Sidewalls -Sidewalls protect the lightweight core and they direct energy to the snow, giving grip and turn precision
Carbon Chassis- Carbon Chassis is a particular technology that integrates a carbon fibre into the wood core. It delivers a powerful and responsive rebound
True Tip - By trimming the amount of heavy ABS plastic in the tip and extending the lightweight wood core into this area with a taper that further reduces weight, we enhanced playfulness and manoeuvrability of the ski without compromising that unmatchable feeling of power and control
2023:
All Mountain Santa Ana Profile -Rocker in the nose of the ski aids with soft snow flotation. Camber underfoot creates on piste power and performance whilst a slight rise in the tail increases ease of turn initiation
Female Specific Balsa Core -Lightweight full wood core that provides a powerful but damp ride. Balsa has the highest strength to weight ratio of any hardwood
Sidewalls -Sidewalls protect the lightweight core and they direct energy to the snow, giving grip and turn precision
Energy Ti W - carbon reinforced layer and terrain specific metal laminate sized to each ski length
Blunt Nose - Specific nose profile helps reduce vibration and chatter normally found on powder skis
UHMW Base - This sintered graphite base is fast and durable, it keeps you moving on the flats and helps you accelerate on piste
